Rob's Race to Recovery

Robert Donahue, a 23-year-old resident of River Vale, had been a typical, healthy and active young adult. Rob suffered a broken neck with a C5 spinal cord injury in a tragic accident last December that left him a quadriplegic. Rob is confined to a wheelchair and is paralyzed from the upper chest down leaving him with no use of his hands and legs.

Rob’s insurance only covers a minimal amount of physical and occupational visits a year and does not cover the therapy equipment that Rob needs to improve his circulation, movement and ability to function. To date The Robert Donahue Recovery Fund has been able to purchase the RT-300 electrical stimulation cycle. This equipment will help Rob improve his strength and motor skills, ensuring his greatest chance for recovery and help qualify him for any breakthrough treatments. It is our hope to be able to purchase the additional equipment that Rob could benefit from along with continuing to pay for his ongoing therapy needs.
