Robert Donahue, a 23-year-old resident of River Vale, NJ, had been a typical, healthy and active young adult. In a tragic incident in December 2008, Rob suffered a broken neck with a C-5 spinal cord injury that left him a quadriplegic. Rob has been confined to his wheelchair, paralyzed from the upper chest down leaving him without use of his hands and legs.

 Rob’s insurance only covers a minimal amount of physical and occupational visits a year and does not cover the therapy equipment that Rob needs to improve his circulation, movement, and ability to function. From recent fundraiser's The Robert Donahue Recovery Fund has been able to purchase the RT-300 electrical stimulation cycle  and standing frame. This equipment will help Rob improve his strength, motor skills and circulation, ensuring his greatest chance for recovery and help qualify him for any breakthrough treatments. We are also providing financial support for his Occupational Therapy and Rehabilitation at "Push to Walk" several times a week. It is our hope, that with your generous assistance we will be able to continue to provide the necessary therapy that Rob needs in the years to come.

The Robert Donahue Recovery Fund is a non profit corporation that was created by friends of the family to help pay for the purchase of equipment and ongoing therapy for Robert. The Fund is not registered as a 501 c (3) organization therefore, is non eligible for tax deductions.
